Live video, clinical judgment
Florida permits an initial veterinarian-client-patient relationship to be established through a sufficient synchronous audiovisual evaluation. A questionnaire, text conversation, chatbot or audio-only call does not establish that initial relationship. The booking form is an intake request, not a clinical evaluation.
Your pet must be in Florida for this service. Dr. Sina determines whether video is adequate for the concern. An in-person examination or emergency referral may be necessary.
Before the consultation
Before an initial video evaluation, SinaVet provides the veterinarian’s name, Florida license number and contact information, a nearby physical veterinary clinic, follow-up and technology-failure instructions, and your prescription-choice information. You receive and sign a dated acknowledgment before veterinary telehealth is provided.
The exact nearby clinic and contingency plan are selected after your pet’s location is known. The online inquiry acknowledgment does not replace this clinical consent.
Prescriptions and limits
Medication is prescribed only when appropriate and permitted by state and federal law. Telehealth-only prescriptions have restrictions on drug eligibility, treatment duration and renewal. Some medications and uses require an in-person examination. SinaVet’s current house-call model excludes controlled substances.
You may request a written prescription to fill at a pharmacy of your choice. A consultation does not guarantee a prescription.
Travel and emergencies
Video consultations cannot be used to issue interstate or international health certificates. Certificates require the appropriate examination, accreditation and destination-specific requirements.
If the connection fails, call 305-337-1333. If your pet worsens or has an adverse reaction, seek immediate care from the physical clinic or emergency facility named in your pre-visit information. Do not wait for reconnection in an emergency.
